In order that everyone has the opportunity to start a thread once, we decided that the ladies would go first. So once all the ladies have started a thread we will move onto the men who haven't yet had a turn.

    Aha! Thanks silvercar.

It's all the same to me who starts the thread, as long as it contains PN's selfies and I can post doggy pics :)

    Pastures,

This is a screen shot of what I see in my food album in my photo bucket app ( I have multiple albums but don't organise them well)

    [

I can select each photo to take up the whole screen.

Edit, have changed pic, to upload a picture including the screenshot in the picture...
It's not what I see that upsets me with PB, it's what the viewers see.

Also, privacy .... if I share a photo of my pie then people can continue to travel through my PB account - or maybe I can "fix" that by using Albums. I have a load of photos on PB from about 2006/2007, but I want to share individual photos, not the lot.

Edit - just checked PB and I can share a direct link to the image OK.... so off to resurrect my old PB account :)

Edit: Just logged onto my account and found a photo. Copied the url and displayed the photo on the screen.... I could see the entire path of that image and, by stripping out sections, could then find all/every other album and photo I've uploaded. And that's what I wanted to avoid. If I have 10 cake photos and I just want to share 1 .... I don't want people stripping down the url and seeing the other 9.

I took a couple of selfies .... by accident when the camera "went off" ... and OMG ... I had no idea I was that old/ugly. Won't be sharing them. Already deleted those ones.

Is it possible to delete photos? I don't think I ever have, every now and then I use ES file explorer to move the entire album into the photos folders of my PC which I hopefully remember to back up online every now and again.
    I think....

I've just created a new private album on PB and installed the PB app ... so I'll see if that makes a difference.

Make sure on your pc you have a shared 'public' folder.

Open ES File explorer (on phone ;)) and click the menu thing in the top right and choose LAN and then SCAN. It will then hopefully show you the IP address or name of your laptop which you can click on and it will show you the shared folder(s). Now you can use it in the normal way, navigate to the photos you want to copy, select them and cut/copy then go to the laptop folder and paste.

Edit: of course it is possible to delete photos I just don't think I have ever bothered to.

Edit: You know that 'tagging thing' that facebook can do automatically unless you tell it not to - is it possible to get a phone or PC app that would automatically tag and catalog all your photos, ideally not just the people but also things like 'indoors', 'trees' 'garden', 'pool', 'beach', 'countryside', 'snow' etc?
    I think....

The problem with PB photos is the url includes your username, which might be your real name.... so probably need to create a random username to be able to share photos.

Then, create a private album - and you can share just one link - if they try to reverse engineer the whole url it says album is private.
    :)

1] Created new folder, checked properties/sharing and it said it had to be in the shared folder, so I moved it into there by clicking the link provided, which opened up that folder, then dragged the new folder into there. All looks OK.

2] Found LAN, found scan. It scanned and found the hub and the PC. I clicked on the PC, it asked for username/password. Put those in and it is asking for another username/password, it says above it "connecting to smb://192.168..."

Now stuck... it's not connecting and I've no idea what it wants.

    I'm using XP Pro....

Yes I had this problem. So I created an account with the username silvercar. Then the flat management agent wanted some photos, but didn't want my name on them, so I put them in the silvercar account and sent them to her. Which meant she was the only person in RL who knows I am silvercar...then she became my friend on Facebook. So someone on facebook knows I am silvercar and I fear my VL could suddenly hit my RL.
