Peeled, cut up into small chunks, seeds / cores / etc removed. Depends on the fruit....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

DH often does me a 'fruit plate' for breakfast or a meal when I'm not eating what I've cooked. Its quite a loving act, that small consideration.:o
I can't justify this logically, but that seems to me far less weird than 12 girls sitting either side of a long table all using fruit knives, pointlessly....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Yep. Exactly.
If I serve fruit as breakfast, I serve a fruit platter, a fruit soup, or a fruit ' salad' or fruit. I suppose I expect people to 'eat like monkeys, but I prep apples. I rarely eat oranges mainly because I hate peeling them. And just for me doesn't seem worth it. DH peels them for me. I wouldn't expect him to do it with a knife and segment them.

Same with most veg we cook, no? Just eat crudite!

It's like a normal table / dinner knife, but smaller and a bit curved at the end (only a little bit).
You get fruit forks, too - they are quite a lot smaller than normal forks, and have 2 tines rather than more....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Does he peel your grapes?
I hate being old, I stood and twisted from sitting this morning and pinched a nerve in my back so I am now as stiff as a board and in quite a lot of pain each time I move...then again I first strained my back and had it stiffen up like this when I was 16 so I guess maybe the old bit is not the only cause. I'm going to put the dinner on and cut the grass in the hope that moving will help matters.I think....0 -

DW cores and slices two apples for me *every* day. That way she knows that I will eat at least two portions a day of fruit and veg. That's very loving of her. And practical. She puts them in a plastic bag. I guess I'm a lucky bunny. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
