No, I just presumed (as has been the case for all the others before now) that it wouldn't be THIS long. :rotfl:0 -

A week isn't that long. Nearly six weeks for me now!
But- if you have an HR contact at the place you interviewed then I would definitely give them a call. If not and you have to phone the person who is making the decision I might wait until Monday.0 -
After 2 days I'd assume I'd not got a job.... but it's usually one of the questions I ask at interview: When will you be deciding? That then usually prompts them to give full details of the timescale, plus (from the language they use) you can usually get a clue if it might be you. If they're evasive, it's not you; if they repeat it 2-3x it's usually you.0

Happy Sweet Year.
Years ago, when I was a child, for New Year's Day we'd have a repeat Xmas Dinner - the whole turkey, roasties, yorkshire, veggies thing. That stopped about 25 years ago when mum couldn't be bothered any more.
Now it's just another day, usually spent bemoaning the fact it's "work tomorrow".0 -
The sun can't decide if it's coming out - and when it's not out there's a cool breeze. It might be scorchio 17 miles away on the other coast......0

I am on the tech board, been trying to fix my sibling's broken PC. No idea what went on, or what was pressed - certainly the sort of person that would arrogantly not read any messages. but would simply blindly poke any/all available options over several days then leave it as somebody else's problem to fix..... that's me.
Never "fixed" a PC before; never had to - never really broken one of my own as I at least try to know what/why I am pressing - and what I was trying to do when it broke.0 -
what do you do if you went to an interview a week ago and haven't heard a peep?
chase? or just wait twiddling?
it's a professional post, in the real business world it's middle management but in academia, you are minion.
Drop them a message? Hard one...did they not say when they would let you know?0 -

Lokshen pudding is a sweet baked pasta pudding, sort of like a pasta version of bread pudding from the look of it, and I have looked lots in the bakeries. Pasta, raisins, and cottage or cream cheese I think.
Crispy on top and golden.
Don't think...ewwww, sweet pasta, think ...rice pudding, bread puddings etc and it makes culinary sense..
No milky products in lockshen pudding. Usually served after a meaty meal, and dietary laws mean no milk. Main ingredients are ribbon shaped pasta, raisins, egg, oil and lashings of cinnamon.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. My guess would be that either they have hit a snag getting authorisation for the post or you have come second and the delay is them waiting on the first choice. They don't want to reject you if the first choice is going to decline.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
