Open Barclays Account online or In Branch ?

I want to open a Barclay's Current account, but I am unsure if it is better to do it online or in a Branch, I can see pro's and Con's to both options !.
The main concern is if I open it in a Branch I can take along bank statements to show them my income and expenditure should I wish to consider a Overdraft, but online I cannot do that.
Any advice would be great.

When you open an account generally if they can offer you an overdraft it will be done so via the application. If you wasn't happy with what is offered you can always go into the branch after submitting the app online and ask them to have a look at the application for you or you could always call their call centre

I'd do it online, it avoids the hard sell in-branch if you're not assertive enough to keep saying no. In my case they still opened a savings account and an ISA for me after I'd left the branch.0

The only advantage of opening the account in branch is you'll get your account number and sort code immediately should you be in a hurry for it.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
