Parking Eye v. The World.

This thread is for keeping tally of how many Court cases Parking Eye brings & wins/loses.
If you end-up being taken to Court by Parking Eye, let us know the outcome whether you win or lose. If you know of anyone else not a member of this site or Peppipoo, speak to them and point them in our direction for help with an appeal.

If we keep a rolling tally, this can then be used in any letters to the press/media.

  • I know two PE cases on pepipoo were both lost, but at least one of them looks to have had a very dodgy defence

Possibly a couple of stooges put up by PE themselves. Might be worth trying to contact the 2 losers and persuading them to appeal with proper help & a good defense.

Utter utter tripe. You really do not have a clue about the cases on question.

Most certainly not stooges and it shows your complete lack of knowledge about how the system works

Do you know something the rest of us don't? I'd like to know because my outcome will add to the scoreboard.

Yes because I helped one of them with a perfectly sound defence.

Right. On what grounds did the judge rule in favour of the antagonist?

Try Ming Rider! Judge seems all over the place.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Nice idea, but I'm afraid the reality is very different to what you are suggesting.

I've now done over 40 defences for PE claims, and in almost every instance, once the OPs realise that PE are serious about taking it to court, they either cave in and admit the claim to avoid going to court, or come to some compromise amount with PE.

We can write defence statements which challenge every single aspect of the legitimacy of PE's claims, but the problem is that the vast majority of OPs simply do not understand the complexities of the legal points, and/or are not prepared to invest the necessary time to do proper research so that they can present a coherent case in front of a Judge.

As for mounting appeals, if they can't string a sentence together at the original hearing, their chances of a successful appeal lie somewhere between Bob Hope and No Hope. Not to mention the considerable additional costs they are likely to incur, which I know some members have generously offered to contribute towards, but unless the defendant can get professional representation, I'd suggest keeping your money in your pocket.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
