Windows 8 is very easy to use, even for newbies. I set one up for my newbie sister and actually liked the feel of it. Had a few teething problems for my sis, but in all fairness, she's got the hang of it faster than I expected.
My daughter loves it (not a newbie)4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Windows 8 is easy to use as long as you don't use any of the Metro stuff on a laptop. If you just use Desktop it's not that different from Windows 7.0
