£500 for a road bike... which to get?

Personally for £500 I'd be looking at 2nd hand bikes. I just sold my 2011 Specialized Allez Sport for £300 whereas back in 2011 it set me back £800.

Some real bargains to be had and quite often people have rushed out and bought new bikes only to find out in less than 100 miles a road bike isn't for them and it's just gathered dust in the garage ever since.

If you wait a few months you'll get even more of a deal as the demand for road bikes throughout the colder months is a lot less. Road bike prices tend to peak around the time of the TDF. Also the 2014 range of bikes is right on the verge of being released.
