Money stolen from Bank Account

Hi there.
Today, when I went to take out money from my Bank Account, I had discovered that my account was empty, when I previously had over £200 in my account.
When I got home I went straight on the phone to the fraud team behind my account, who went on to tell me that the money was taken from a company in Norwich called J.E Hardgraves or J. Hardgraves, a company in which I had never heard of. Now after telling me about who had taken the money out of my account, they then told me that they would be passing it on to be investigated and that depending on what their findings are, I may be refunded.
Firstly, can anyone give me anymore information on this company from Norwich, as I would like to look into them myself, and also, can anyone tell me what the investigations team actually do, as I'm terrified I will not get my money back and I have lots of urgent bills that need paid.
Thank you for your time.

I've not heard of them, have you googled them?
About the bills, if you haven't already phone the relevant people and inform them of your current situation, you should be able to defer payments so if you pay by direct debit you can avoid bank charges if payments bounce/you go into an arranged overdraft. I haven't gone through this so don't have anymore advice, but I'm sure someone will be able to tell you their experience soon or give advice.0 -
Thanks for the advice.
I have googled everything I can about this company and cannot find a thing on them, which is really frustrating

If you are the innocent party in some kind of third party fraud, you'll get your money back.
It will be down to the bank to prove your negligence or that the transaction took place with your knowledge. Ultimately the company will probably loose out.0 -
Thanks for your advice.
I'm praying I get my money back
.
I want to find out about this company, like who they are and how they managed to get my account details, but unfortunately a google search turns up nothing for them

Remind your bank that the payment services regulations require them to refund immediately then investigate. They'll deduct the money again should they find that the transaction is legitimate. Make a formal complaint should they fail to do so.
Some banks like to believe that their policies supersede the regulations. This isn't the case.0 -
how did they take funds? direct debit, debit card payment, transfer etc...0

Hope pmduk doesn't mind me posting on their behalf, but here it is...Could you provide a link/source to this requirement please that the OP could then quote?

But that refers to where a "transaction was not authorised"
Where does it say the bank must "refund immediately then investigate" whether or not it was actually authorised?

I think you're being a little pedantic. But that refers to where a "transaction was not authorised"

If the payment service provider has to refund "immediately" there won't be time for an investigation beforehand.
Have you read regulation 61 in conjunction with the other referenced regulations, specifically, but not limited to, regulation 60-(3)(a)?0
