How do I meet new friends?

Learn game - google PUA, pick-up artist etc.
Ha, yes that's me! Never heard of that. I'm wording it wrong. I'm more than happy to take up friendship with another male of course. The only common interest would be motoring or cars (cant stand football or any sport). What I'm trying to say is that I would love a relationship but I have havent got the confidence or balls to blatantly ask someone out. Need to know how women tick, how to approach them and how to talk to them. It might sound like I'm using them but I'm not.0 -

Easier to ask someone out if you know them a bit first (rather than a virtual stranger in a bar for example). Rejection risk is lower as well as you'll have probably established if she's currently in a relationship, what her interests are etc. etc.0

Meet groups of people for meals, drinks, walks, pub quizzes etc. Would be ideal for your situation.
Best of luck.0 -
How old is your kid? Take him to soft play, swimming, kids groups. It as suprising who you might meet0

Morning, thanks for all suggestions and understanding. I like the look of the meetup and spiceuk. Both offer events near me that take my fancy and I'm actually inquiring about an event next week that's going off.
Carl - Hi, I have a daughter who is 18 month old. It wont be long before I can take her to the the local soft play centre.0 -
Plenty of divorced mums looking for a nice fella to chat to. When your daughter's a bit older, take her to play areas, do the school run etc."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Join the gym or a fitness class? Take up a new hobby or two? Do you have people through work that you could socialise with?
If possible as others have mentioned socialise with your daughter through swimming, playgroups, soft play etc I go to a lot of these things with my daughter and it is easy to strike up conversation. Admittedly people may not be looking to date but it is a good way to meet people or just have a natter.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
