PPI Forms

Hi, I have asked my bank (LloydsTSB) for my PPI back on one loan and two credit cards, they have sent me the forms through to claim but they are so complicated and ask questions that I can't answer! I thought they had been made to make this easier for customers!

  • LloydsTSB cannot be expected to payout on a potentially speculative, or possibly fraudulent claim before establishing the full facts. Just answer the questions as truthfully as you can.

Nobody expects you to be able to recount every detail of the sale but it is reasonable to require you to explain why you consider PPI to have been missold. There are quite a few posts about LloydsTSB but you seem to be alone in feeling that the questions asked are too complicated. What are those which you are unable to answer?
  • The sort of questions I am having problems with are:
I took the loan out to help pay off some credit card debts and help me get back on my feet a bit, they want to know who these debts were with, I can only guess at this at it is a while back and I have been quit ill in the mean time, witch has severely affected my memory/thinking process! I distinctly remember however, saying I did not want PPI on the loan I took out!
What my savings were at time of loan
Who did I speak to when I took out the PPI (I didn't take it out and I have no idea of her name!)
They also want me to provide:
    CCA application form
    Policy Booklet
I do not have these any more, if I had them to begin with!
I think I need to get help with these forms off of someone who doesn't have a phobia about form filling :/ X

What were your reasons for mis sell initially with the loan and Cards?.

If you paid the PPI in one monthly payment with loan and did not pay this separately, this is Single Premium PPI and this is one of the reason that you use for mis sell for this.
Single Premium is in fact a loan on the loan to term end with interest and at early settlement of this loan ( this is what happens, not that this is specific to you)you would have had a rebate of the PPI but you repaid the remaining PPI back in the settlement figure, this is unfair.

If you had savings then put the amount, if not, put you had none.

You do not need the policy booklet or the CCA agreement to make a claim for mis sell, you only need the loan account number, Credit Card number and reasons for mis sell, put that you have not got the agreement, it was too long ago and that you do not need the policy booklet to make a claim and if they insist you have this then you will make a complaint to FOS.
