As the title says, is this a good price for the build, and with a budget of £500, should I be looking to ask for any changes?
I already have a monitor and can prob dig out a Keyboard and mouse.
Want the best spec machine I can afford to try and future proof.

Tanks for your advice.

One of the hardest of all life lessons is this:
Just because I feel bad doesn’t necessarily mean someone else is doing something wrong.
Just because I feel good doesn’t necessarily mean what I am doing is right.

It doesnt include an operating system
To get the full potential out of the SSD you will need a better mobo with SATA3
I wouldnt bother paying extra for the 4gb graphics card over 2gb
Taking a gander at ebuyer, if your able to build it yourself you can get a better spec for your money. your spec (using simmilar items off ebuyer) is under £430
Also with a little more money, i would go for an intel i5, runs better performance using less power.0 -
You don't have any seperate prices listed which would help, but if I were you I would see if it is cost efficient to get 2x4gb ram rather than a single 8gb...reason being is they can fail...it has happened to me and in that case all you do is remove one stick. May be cheaper, or it might only cost a couple of quid, it is up to you

That is just my personal preference though."Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck" - The Doctor.0 -
Thank you both,
I should explain I'm not technical - it's probably easy if you know how, but I wouldn't want to be building anything myself.
It also means I don't know what a mobo or sata3 is, but I've passed on the suggestions and will see what comes back.
I assume that this is a fair (if not keen) price?
Can I ask - i can't tell - does the quote indicate how many USB ports it will have? I tend to use a lot for various bits and pieces.
Someone also said it might run a bit hot - do you think it's got suitable fans?
Thanks again for any advice.
Oh, and it will come with windows 7 and office 2013.One of the hardest of all life lessons is this:

Just to let you know that I built a PC with very little knowledge.
I looked at a number of youtube videos first and really did my homework.
It was really quite straight forward.

The SATA3 thing means that you will get the full speed out of the solid state hard disk.
If it comes with windows then its not a bad price.
As somone else mentioned, 2 sticks of 4gb ram would be faster and could aid if one fails.
The graphics card is a lowish end gaming card, but with a lot of memory for some reason, if you dont play any games you dont need it anyway.
I would stump up a little more for an I5 system instead as it will run faster and much cooler
most modern motherboards usually come with at least 6 USB ports onboard, and often cases come with some as well so probably giving you 8.0
