This competition has changed its prize again for August, I have gone in like I do every month to change the title etc only today the main title on the forum board won't update, any one else having problems?

Main titles cannot be changed after a certain length of time, I cannot remember what the limit is but you have probably reached it.

Found the post, the guess is that it's about 2 months and then thread titles cannot be edited by mere mortals.

If you look at the thread mjm has found above, you will see we explored this a couple of years back, with the result being you can't change the "thread title" (the one that shows on the forum lists) after 2 months, only the "post title" (the one at the top of the page when you have opened the thread). You need to PM one of the Board Guides to edit the "thread title" for you.

To avoid the problem it is best if you can use a title that will last until the end of the whole promotion such as E: 31/12 Win various prizes with Clipper Teas (monthly prize, daily entry)

However, in this particular case the method that I would recommend is that you do a brand new thread each month. So start a new thread E: 31/08 Win a Kitchenaid Mixer and gadget sets (daily entry) and click expired on https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4591885.

On 1st September do a new thread E: 30/09 and so on.

Thanks One-Eye, I never knew there would be an issue with changing the title each month but you learn something new everyday!

I will do as you suggest and start a new thread, they don't like to make things too easy for us do they
