PPi on very old defunct Creditcard

I know I was paying some sort of PPI on the first credit card I had about 18 years ago with Natwest. This really annoyed me at the time as I always paid off my whole balance every month but didn't realise the PPI was optional.

This is now a very defunct card and I've probably shredded all paperwork I ever had with it. Is there any point trying to start a claim for this with Natwest?

You don't claim, you complain. If you paid it in full every month you won't have paid any PPI.

If you cleared the balance every month then you would never have paid any PPI.

As -taff said, if you paid the balance in full every month you won't have paid any PPI, so there's nothing to "claim" back.
