We are coming into Holyhead and travelling down to London.

Why not consider leaving the car somewhere like Liverpool or Birmingham, and taking the train to London? Parking will be cheaper there, and there's little value in taking your car to London, only for it to sit idle in a more expensive car park ....

Where are you travelling from? What's your starting point?

Should you really be heading to a busy, high-pressure metropolis such as London, then ... ?

Just because places around me are busy doesn't mean I will be, hence trying to plan our trip so there will be no pressure in not knowing what we are doing but there will be fun in finding the places. I cannot let my health dictate my life but I have to enjoy it realistically within my means.

    Duck Tours are really good!
British Museum, Natural History & V&A well worth looking at.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.

We are departing from Northern Ireland. We are going to Beaulieu after London and hopefully on to Lands End etc before heading back for the port.

Duck tours didn't come up on my research although buses that go in the water (cannot remember the name of them) did. Must google Duck Tours now then.

For hubby & I it would have to be a double room. £80 per night, I know it is not a lot but I would rather spend money on the attractions and the hotel is only somewhere to rest for the following days adventure imho!

I stayed in various of this group years back. Close to Russell Square tube, convenient for buses. If you want a double at The County for £64, you share a bathroom with at least four other rooms. Otherwise, £102 for the next one up.....

I doubt you'll find a hotel with parking at your target price unless you stay way out of the centre ...

In that case, I'd head for Beaulieu, leave the car somewhere near there, and take a train to London, and back to Beaulieu.

If you can watch BBC iPlayer, and look at the Programme 'route masters - running London's Roads' to see the futility of driving in London.

Hubby wants to go to Beaulieu on the 7th and 8th September.

Hubby doesn't like trains and if he has to go on them it has to be for a very short journey! I am not particularly keen on them either.

I will look at the BBC iPlayer when I get home.

I seen a Holiday Inn Express for round £80 which had parking facilities (an additional charge afair) and included breakfast.

Try a TripAdvisor search for 'hotels with free parking' in London. I just did, and the cheapest are way out of the centre, and seem to be lacking good reviews ....
