** Seller will not sell broken dryer - who cancels transaction? **

Hi all, I purchased a hood dryer at a superb price early this morning, but the seller now states it's broken/cracked and cannot sell it now.
Can I cancel this transaction so I don't get payment reminders, or does this seller have to do it? After I found the whole story far fetched I asked the seller could it not be fixed and what the actual damage was or if the low price was the issue, reminding her of Ebay's rules, she bit my head off and told me not to contact her again because of my tone.
In any case, I'm thinking I should just wait and see if they cancel the transaction or should I act now??

Hi It sounds like the seller didn't think the price went high enough and decided not to sell. You may see it listed again soon and if so I would report them.
Not sure about cancelling sale I think they seller does it if the buyer agrees but I'm not sure if that is only when the item is paid for.
Someone more experienced will be along soon.0 -
Seller needs to open the request. If you feel they're messing you around, you don't have to confirm the cancellation, which will mean their fees are not refunded.0

Not only do you 'not have to confirm' but specifically you have to decline it, or they get their money back. Do it before the 7 day deadline.0 -
Thanks all! I'll wait and see what happens then! I just don't want it turning on me, saying I haven't paid, when it's because she won't sell it to me!!!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

If she tries getting funny and they open any form of NPB case, just pay and tell her to send your goods as per the auction. Then if she doesn't just open a case to get your money back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
