Did anyone ever use Olotels.com to make a hotel reservation? If so, are they reliable?

I was wondering exactly the same thing. They come up on Trivago all the time, but I'm just not sure about them. Travel Republic are ok, as are Booking .com and Hotels.com0

I've had success with them , likewise i also had a reservation cancelled due to a pricing error. It was immediate and they phoned with alternatives. I would use them again as I've had 2 subsequent successful bookings.
My only gripe was they tried telling me the alternative hotel they were offering me was an equivalent 5* but it wasn't and we had a fairly heated discussion, before I told them I'd arrange something else myself!0 -

I seen them on Trivago too and I thought they should therefore be reliable however when I researched them online I seen a lot of negative reviews which did make me wonder whether to book with them or not?!?0 -

Thanks! When I read reviews online I do wonder if the location being reviewed had anything to do with the review?!? :eek:0 -
I booked a hotel in Croatia in June, cheapest and everything went okay. I also went through quidco. Have had to submit an enquiry but the amount is tracking now...0

Yes I'm still waiting on quidco from my NYE stay but it is pending, just slow.
I think you will find negative reviews of all sites if you look to be fair. If you're worried phone the hotel a few days after booking just to check all is on their system correctly etc. They had even passed on my comments about our anniversary which meant the hotel then upgraded us directly on one of our stays.0 -
Hi
I just wanted to add my experience of olotels to this thread.
I recently booked a two night stay at a Premier Inn through olotels.com as I was trying to save a bit of money and had seen them recommended on the main site here.
Unfortunately I had a bad stay and under their sleep well guarantee was offered a full refund. Unfortunately I have not yet received the money despite a very helpful member of Premier Inn staff calling them to confirm the refund. To start they were very vague, saying under the terms and conditions they may not have to pass the refund to me, at the moment they are saying they have no control over the refund, it is up to their wholesalers as to when it will be released (if ever?!).
They have stopped responding to my emails and I can't get through on the phone. I booked on a credit card but unfortunately the credit card company said they're unable to help.
Premier Inn have said it can take up to 30 working days for some people to receive a refund if booked through a third party site (fingers crossed!).
My advice would be to book with a hotel directly if they have a refund policy like this as you will receive any money owed back much more quickly, and without all this hassle. In the end my booking was only something like £20 cheaper and I really wish I'd just used the Premier Inn site.0
