Selling metal from heating system

We are taking out a whole heating system including back boiler, water tank and the radiators which are old and don't have temp control. Which bits can we sell and can anyone advise on best place to sell the various parts?
We need to claw back any cash we can!

Try and sort the scrap out first. Copper used to be the best price and Ali the next with mixed the lowest of the low.

Values for light iron (which is what rads etc are classed as in the scrap world) is around £140 per tonne at the moment. Depending on the size and quantity of the rads etc you may well have half a tonne or more.

Nickcc is right. Sort all the metals out - copper, brass, steel, stainless steel etc. you will get much more for them that way.

We took our entire central heating system to the scrapper and got just shy of £200. This didn't include the boiler, just rads and pipe. The pipe is worth a lot more than the rads and well worth trading in.
