Leaky car!
Drivers side door has been leaking water in at the bottom. A section of the inside door seal seems to be damaged, kinda flattened. We assume it is getting in from there.
Just wondering if any one has a rough idea of what this seal should cost to replace?
It's an Astra MK5.

You'll probably find it's your air-conditioning drainage pipe blocked, short of partial submergence, water shouldn't be getting in via the door seal.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Only happens when it rains though? lol.
Although the air con started making one helluva racket from the engine the other day, we just assumed it needed re-gassing or whatever it is. Maybe it is related, or maybe our car likes costing us lots of money.

Sounds like a candidate for the hose pipe test (requires two people)

Had a similar issue on a seat Leon when it rained.
On that car I had to remove the door card assembly and replace the seal which had perished and clean the door drains at the bottom of the door. I used some mastic type seal which was surplus from the greenhouse build. No more wet carpets. Only took 45 mins per door. The forums suggested silicon sealer. Should be able to find out more via google or YouTube perhaps.
May be a similar issue on your car?
Good luckIf at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you! :dance:0
