Renewal Timescales

Hi all,

I sent my renewal for child and working tax credits away 9 weeks ago now and yet to receive an award notice.

I have called a few times and was told timescale of 29 July for renewal, I called back again on Monday there and was told that it was now outwith timescale and would be marked urgent.

I dont understand why its taking so long and I should be getting some form of back payment if my previous updated notice was anything to go by. Some people I know renewed after me and have already had theirs processed.

How much longer should I leave it before contacting them again? I appreciate there are a lot of people in similar/worse positions, I am just getting anxious to know whats happening and the longer it goes on I am starting to think something may be up?

Is 9 weeks a normal timescale for ctc and wtc only without child care checks?

Cheers
