Voltage Optimisers

Welcome to the forum.
If you do a search there are loads of posts on voltage optimisers.
Essentially in a domestic environment they save very little and not enough to justify their cost.
Ohm's Law still applies and if you lower the voltage, lights are dimmer, heaters give out less heat etc.0 -
Bulbs last longer of course because they are dimmer so you'd save a bit there. You'd need the same number of kw to boil the kettle so it would just take longer to boil. I can't see that they'd pay for themselves.
The only way to save money is to use less - you'd be better off putting energy saving lightbulbs in the lights that you use a lot and reduce your consumption by switching stuff off.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
