Its been like this since the last lot of thunderstorms.
When I pick up either of my cordless phones or landline, the dial tone has this fuzzyness to the background.
Landline is with Sky
Unable to do anything until Monday earliest as being picked up in next 40 mins to go to hospital and have an operation.

Try unplugging all phones and filters and just plug one phone into the master socket. Does the noise continue?YNWA

I'm not sure if it would work if you are with sky, but you could try getting a line test done online

As above, connect a single wired phone and dial 17070 for the quiet line test. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Probably some moisture has gotten into the wires between the Master Socket and the Local street box!
Sky will probably pass you over to BT's Openreach (the ones that handle the telephone wires!) they may try and charge you for a call out fee if they think the noise is not interfering with voice calls!Laters
