Downloaded videos to DVD - No sound?

I've been trying to burn some Youtube (downloaded with Youtube Downloader) videos to DVD, but they end up with no sound
I've tried simply burning the files, and processing them through Windows Movie Maker, but in both cases the sound is lost.
Any advice please?

Certainly a problem I have also had at times.
1. Does the downloaded videos play with sound on your computer.
2. Burning files is fine if your player supports the format. You are better off downloading the mp4's from yourtube for compatibility with players.
3. Burning as a dvd. (which is what I assume WMM is doing). Does the resultant disk have sound if you play if on your computer? (To rule out player issues!)
4. I find AVS to DVD is usually very good at converting files to dvd format. But I admit I still ended up with a few with no sound . (Test the image before burning so you don't waste disks). DVD Flick is also worth trying.0 -

It does in its initial downloaded state.3. Burning as a dvd. (which is what I assume WMM is doing). Does the resultant disk have sound if you play if on your computer?
Didn't think to check that.
Also, I've noticed the sound disappears the moment I import the video to WMM, ie. before I start to edit it into a DVD file.0 -
Does "Youtube Downloader" gives various format options to choose from?
I dont use the software, but have you tried the other options; "Windows Media Video" may be the safest choice, if it is there. Systematically try the other options to see what gives the best results.
I dont think there is anything special about the sound format that YouTube uses for its vids. My guess is that "Youtube Downloader" may be at fault.0
