VENT - buyers not paying

Have been an eBayer for around 10 years - its now starting to really annoy me.

Sold 8 things - only 4 got paid for. The buyers all had high ratings and the items were quite low cost (sub £20).

Just relist the item? Because you didn't send the item without getting the money......did you?

Open unpaid items against the none payers to get your fees back before you relist

no i havent sent item and will re-list - its just annoying

I wait 3 days for the auction to end - then another few days waiting for payment - then have to re-list and go through it all again.

recently i've been using the forum on hotukdeals for selling - no hassle so far

know what you mean,I've noticed it increase from when we could no longer leave negative feedback....as a seller it's all the more annoying when they bid in the last second and spend a week then waiting for payment!

Ebay infuriates me no end. All the protection is now given to the buyer, Ebay never stick to their policies, we have sold things on there with in depth description/photos etc and ebays policy says the buyer cannot have a refund or return item just because they change their mind, but we have had buyer changed their mind and ebay has forced us to refund - you get little or no response from ebay customer service.

The case system is a farce, buyer will just open a case without contacting you first, which then puts a hold on the money in your paypal account leaving you out of pocket till the case is resolved. Multiple time buyers have claimed to not have received the item (despite it being signed for) but ebay will still refund them, ok in those cases we dont have to pay back but I'm sure a lot of these occurrences are the buyers lying so they then have the item and refund.
