    well, i don't agree with one year being the lifespan if care was taken, as i mentioned, we had these in a rental property, so we made jolly sure we didn't mark them by taking precautions as there was no way we wanted to lose any bone, and when we moved out after 1.5 years, they did not look brand new, but certainly were not stained or ruined...just an all over less bright look, but nothing to complain about...
    stupid choice for a rental, but no excuse for spillages and staining.
