Manchester Airport By Train (T3)? & 1st Time Ryanair Flyer Questions?

I've just booked a last Minute holiday to Salou, Spain and am flying out from Manchester T3 (via Heathrow). Trying to be moneysaving expert, we are considering going by train to the airport using free credit we have on Red Spotted Hanky.
How easy it to get from the train station to T3 and and back again on our return (also T3, I think)?
Also while we are flying out in relative style for us with BA (apart from last holiday, always been Thomson/Thomas cook flights), We are flying back with Ryanair, who I have always avoided like the plague.
So as a first time Ryanair flyer, what should I be aware of? I have never 'jumped through so many hoops' just purchasing the tickets and have double checked names etc. I will print off boarding passes before I go and by the looks, I can check in for my inbound Ryanair flight before I check in for my outward BA flight?
As always thanks in advance for any help.

Train station is near t1 - lifts to t3 easy to get to - although it is still quite a walk.0

Manchester is easy by train. The airport rail station is connected to all terminals by covered walkways. As above, T3 is a fair walk but not really problem.
You can check in online with ryanair anytime from 15 days before your flight. Only other thing to 'be aware of' is to play by their rules. Baggage sizes and weight etc...0 -
As statd above it is easy by train but is a bit of a walk, i flew with ryanaira a few weeks ago & they were really strict about hand luggage everything had to go in 1 bag inc your handbag & anythibg you buy from duty free Can i ask you where your staying or if you saw oany good hotel deals I am looking for hotels in the regionIT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!!:j:money:0

We flew Ryanair from manchester (2 weeks ago)and we were allowed a bag of duty free along with our 1 bag.
We all had duty free and I asked at both the till in Boots and the Ryanair staff member at the boarding gate, they both said 1 bag of duty free was fine. (my duty free bag had my handbag and some extra bits that didn't fit in my case!)
Its really handy because when you have checked in online the only person that checks you only have one piece of luggage is at the boarding gate, and by this stage you obviously already have your duty free purchases.£100 - £10,0000 -
How far is a 'long walk' I'm not too fussed about the way out but we are more time restricted on the return journey?
We are flying out from Manchester with BA, so don't need to worry about luggage on the way out (apart from BA making sure it goes on the connecting flight). We are flying back from Reus with Ryanair. I'm currently looking for cabin approved baggage but as a safety precision (and surprisingly cheap at 25euro) we have opted for a checked in bag.
Carole.uk I'll pm you the details of the hotel.0
