Aesop sorry to hear you have been unwell, how are you feeling now, any better?
Is anyone able to tell me about a) shop and scan/cashback sites and b) what is happening with the ebay fees? is it going to make a huge difference?
[
I keep coming to reply to you and get distracted by other stuff.
so....
shop and scan with kantar. worth doing in my opinion. you scan your shopping weekly, upload your barcodes using a scanner they give you. and if you upload receipts get an extra 500 points. takes to 10,000 points before you can cash out for a £10 voucher which seems a lot but they give you 1100 points weekly for uploading barcodes.
you can also apply to other schemes it runs like food on the good, food diary, etc. the points all soon add up.
there is no referral, not seen a referral code for ages. You have to apply at their website and wait to see if they have taken you on.
Cashback sites like quidco and topcashback are offering money back on certain items of food shopping.
https://www.quidco.com/clicksnap/offers
http://www.topcashback.co.uk/SnapAndSave/Offers
you dont have to have a smartphone as you can upload receipts via the website.
also app called shopitize
http://shopitize.com/
now here is the fun bit. if you also coupon sometimes you can combine a coupon with the product in the list offered by all three, and so you get your discount and still receive your cashback on teh full price of the product. This includes whoopsies... ie lettuce bought for 20p, they will still give you, your 20p cashbackwin win
AND sometimes you may find the same offer across one or more site and so you can upload your receipt multiple times, ie to each site and earn cashback on all.
just be careful to buy the right product - weight etc and from the right store.
with shopitize now they are offfering more money by completing surveys and questionnaires and then buying the product.
some clever people out there, get apgs and pp and bm and still use coupons and get their cashback from these sites

Morning all!
THANK YOU to everyone for all the good wishes, it's really heartwarming and I appreciate more than I can say! It's been a sad old, mad old week, trying to organise the full funeral thing from 200 miles away is a bit frenetic but concentrates the mind wonderfully
Had £24.50 in my Paypal account this morning from Vivatic, so that means I MADE MY TARGET FOR THIS MONTH! :T
I've looked out some more bits to list on the 'bay this weekend, which I must keep doing regularly. Not sure if I'mm have an extra blogging work next month as that's drying up a bit so can't rely on it there.
BUT it's REALLY BRILLIANT for me that, for the second month in a row now, I haven't had to borrow from DS to be able to get groceries/pay last direct debits for the end of the month before Payday. It's been so tight this year, trying to avoid breaking through my overdraft limit to avoid their horrendous charges, and last month I came in within 23p of my OD limit without borrowing from DS, this month I manages to have £26 between me and the OD limit. This is all down to working it and making extra through this forum!!!!
Hopefully I can continue the trend next month, chipping away bit by bit at my overdraft, would love to be OD-Free by this time next year!
But DS has his driving test booked for Monday so if he passes (fingers crossed) that'll mean I can get him to play chauffeur for me to start doing some car boot sales (I don't drive which can be a bit of a pain).. and I may be able to do a few craft fayres now too. We shall seeNOV 2014 £151.74/£150 ... DEC 2014 £303.81/300 ... JAN 2015 £143.33/£150

Djelhi-Bhelli what sort of crafts do you do?
I don't do crafts as in making things, but I do Tarot Card readings..and I book a table at suitable craft fayres and similar undercover events - I always get a few nice customers for readings, and the atmosphere is always great! The events in the Market Hall are just ten minutes walk away so I pack my stuff in my shopping trolley and trundle down. It'd be nice to be able to go a bit further afield, when DS can drive me!
Although I have to resist spending my earnings on the stalls around me... I was once placed opposite a hand-made soap and stuff stall, ohh the lush scents... okay I admit I cracked and treated myself to a small bar!!NOV 2014 £151.74/£150 ... DEC 2014 £303.81/300 ... JAN 2015 £143.33/£150

Well comping is paying off as I've had another competition win, found by googling my name. It is for a change and go baby changing mat. No, I don't have anything to tell you, I just enter a lot of competitions!
But I'm going to declare for this month at £154.20. Just about half way to my goal, but I did take a big break in August and I've been thrilled with that. I'm not setting a goal in September, but rather 'make as much as possible' and I've laid the foundations down for a lot of earners in September, so hopefully it'll be a good one.I like to make money

£1.20 Cash for Clothes
£1.10 roadkill, with £1 of that found on the pavement.
I think that will be it for August, not really got my head round the fact I have got as far as I have this month after 2 weeks away, thought I had no chance of getting to £155 so I seriously underestimated things, been a slog again, especially where eBay is concerned but am pleased.
**edited to add £3 off shopping using Brand Match coupon.
** edited to add just found £10 book token and forgot had bagged up £1 worth of pennies to go into bank next time I pay anything in in person.
A big chunk has come from a friend paying me back some money, which I decided to count as that money has come available to me, I hope that makes sense.
Doing a car boot on Sunday and have £73.50 cashback supposedly due next month so fingers crossed these can be a good start. Good luck to all for September xx0 -
I've gained a few pounds today and not of the money sort
I've been baking scones with DD and slapping on the homemade blackberry jam
heaven let me tell you! I am having a NSD though as I'm stuck indoors with a cracking headache
