    Hi guys,
Nat21Love How did you go about getting students in and what do you need to do to look after them? I am interested in doing this.

Another £80 for me from some freelance dance work I did on Monday, also I did some Ikea shopping and used £60 worth of vouchers meaning my shop was only £40 and I got an armchair, a set or shelves, a coffee table and lots of storage for the kicthen for that..oooh and a nice throw :D
I also worked a little shift at job 3 yesterday and I am doing another one today so that will be another £30 roughly...
My Grandma sent me an early wedding present of a cheque but I have decided not to count it as that won't be used mostly until later in the year and I like a challenge so I would rather see if I can do it this way :T
So that takes me up to £240 so far....webuyb**ks have my books now so the money shouldn't be long from them either, hooray! :j
I am enjoying reading about all the comping and everything else you have all been up to, especially this...
    £45 sales to add.

Also, yesterday I heard that DS1 is one of 10 finalists in the Little Heroes competition for calling 999 when his Dad had a seizure and looking after his little brother until the paramedics arrived. http://www.wackywarehouse.co.uk/littleheroes/
:j. He has already won a family meal for us all and a month's softplay pass, but if he wins overall he wins a £1k holiday :D!!

This is such an awesome story!! I really hope he wins! Good luck :)
    Don't turn a slip up into a give up:D

Suzi, I live in South Devon and we are inundated with students, there are about 15 schools to choose from! The most commonly known school is EF but I go with a local school as they pay £2-5 more per student per night. Have a google for schools in your area. As a host, you're expected to provide 3 meals a day(unless otherwise stated) and transport to their school on their first day. I host up to four(the max most schools let you host) and they have their own en suite, I much prefer this as some of them can be pretty grubby and I can't be doing with cleaning the toilet before I use it every time! The only thing is you may need to host during peak weeks as a new host to entitle you to host throughout the year...peak weeks were throughout July :o can't harm giving you school a ring and ask though, they can only say no. If there's none in your area try at the local uni of get in a lodger? Hope theis helps :o

Ok so the car may not be as expensive to fix as first thought so may repair then sell. Older models are still going for around 2k so fingers crossed.

Got a good few watchers on my eBay items, no bids yet.

My aunt is replacing a load of her furniture so I'm getting a bed (mattress always had a cover on it) for my DS for free. His cotbed will then go back to a cot for the baby. Nice little saving there :) Just meed a new mattress for the cotbed.

Full mortgage application put in this morning. 2-3 week wait for a response (not good while on maternity) Fingers crossed because a 2 year fix at 1.99% is almost half of what I pay in rent for a much bigger house in a better area.

Also had a little win on a casino site again (from a £5 free bet I was given) and withdrew £50!! :j:j:j:j
