Moisturizing body wash recommendations

  • Just thought I'd report back...seemed to have solved the problem somewhat - maybe others can benefit. Get on with Dove soap but the bodywash is a different formulation (detergent, rather than soap) was causing dry skin. Don't like taking soap bars to the gym (drippy wet soap dish, squeamish about dropping the soap on the gym shower floor ) . Discovered this pinterest post where a lady melts her bar of Dove. Tried it and it works. http://jnsbrady.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/budget-luxury.html Though it's very runny while warm, cools and thickens considerably. Also made the house smell lovely! I now have it in a mini travel wash bottle to take to the gym, and masses at home to refill, all for the price of a bar of soap - :)
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

  • I like the Nivea body oil shower gels ,especially the lemon oil one, they are moisturising and usually cost just two or three pounds.

Is it much nicer than the ready made then?
The oil of olay body wash is nice.
  • I have used both the Nivea oil and Oil of Olay ones, and liked them, they are just not available locally. Dove bodywash I like but it still dries my skin. For some reason the soap does not, I suspect like a more knowledgeable friend suggested, it is a different formulation - detergent, rather than soap. Melted I get the mildness of the soap and the convenience, and it costs 50p instead of £1.99. :money:
