Moisturizing body wash recommendations

Could anyone recommend a really moisturizing body wash/shower gel? I usually use Dove shea butter bar soap at home, but need a gel or body wash for when at the gym. Have tried a few but they leave my skin dry, flaky and itchy. What is the most moisturizing one you've used?,

Anyone?
107 views and no recommendations, seems an opportunity for a niche market! LOL!No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -
Personally, I don't like them as I feel they leave me slimy rather than moisturised. I prefer to wash & then moisturise afterwards.0

Wash more quickly over a shorter time. Don't stand under the shower for minutes at a time. Just soap under your arms and between ahem and rinse off.
If you like a bar soap at home why not use just it at the gym? I take it you have already tried the complementary shower cream?0 -
I agree, using a body wash every time you shower will dry out your skin. After the gym, I'd just wash the smelly places and rinse the others. I used to wash my body with body was every day and my skin was rough, dry and wasn't great. Since changing to only using body wash once/twice a week, a body scrub (Soap and Glory Breakfast Scrub, delicious) once/twice a week and only soap for my armpits the other days, my skin has improved greatly. I run 5k three/four times a week and I don't smell, I promise!0

I use a body wash twice a day when I shower, just washing the sweaty bits as above doesn't really do it for me.
I like L'Occitane Almond oil but it is pretty price.
Good budget range is The Sanctuary - they do a 12 creamy body wash, and two day body wash oil type. Both pretty good on my skin.
They leave me clean, and not greasy but still conditioned.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
You can try to use lanolin
Lanolin can be moisturizing, minimising dehydration of the skin0 -
The Nivea Happy Time and the Simple moisturing ones are quite nice...i dont like the dove ones as they don't foam enough for me, and I don't feel clean after using them! my favourite is probably Clean on Me by Soap and glory but its a bit pricey and the bottle is quite big for the gym!0

Thanks for the recommendations!
I generally don't like taking bar soap to the gym because I walk there, and don't like walking back with a drippy soap dish making a mess in my backpack. Also hate dropping it on the gym shower floor. Liquid soap in a bottle you know it's clean even if you drop it!
I've been trying just washing the 'bits' as suggested, using up little bottles of liquid soap from gift packs I've been given. Skin much improved. Then I remembered reading somewhere on MSE of someone who had dolloped unloved body lotion into their bathwater in and effort to use it up, and it had worked (apologies for not giving credit to OP whose idea it was, can't find the post again) Anyways, I thought it might work in the shower too, so last gym visit washed the 'bits', then rubbed a body lotion got as a gift that I wasn't too keen on, all over. Rinsed off and dried. My skin is lovely and smooth and moisturized - think I might carry on doing this with very cheap baby lotion even when I've gotten through the 10 plus mini bottles of unloved body lotion I have!No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Same here. Used it daily for years. Nothing can beat it
Oh, and keep hold of small empty bottles to decant shower gel/shampoo/conditioner into for taking to the gym.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
