This is why a lot of online retailers wont take payment until item dispatched
Zavvi doesn't have any stores, they all closed in 2008.0 -
The annoying thing is they had both items that were in this deal, in stock separately, so they could've honoured the order perfectly well.0

This is not the first time they have done this. IICR they have done this about 5 times over the years I've been shopping on there.
Why on earth keep ordering from a company that has repeatedly done this to you?0 -
See reply #5.
They gave a 10% voucher as an 'apology' but it's not much of one since they give them out randomly throughout the year via email.
I used it on something else I wanted though, of which Zavvi was the cheapest again. Let's hope I get no nonsense this time.
I think they purposely cancelled the item and removed it because the item I ordered was a DVD + free game which would work out cheaper than buying both separately. I reckon they saw they would be losing out on potential profit and stopped the selling of it.0 -
see answer #6. You know their trading style, it's unlikely they're going to change.0

#6 cannot be proven.
At the end of the day, it is annoying but won't stop me from buying from them. They've honoured most of my orders.
I always buy the cheapest of a product (not food) when I can so I'll remain their customer until someone cheaper comes along.0
