Personally, I'd still prefer 2 tubes of Oral B Pro Expert! Same price, more toothpaste, better toothpaste!

    But it's your money! :D
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

Gum recession is more about how you're brushing them rather than any particular chemical in a toothpaste or mouthwash.

It's the actual physical getting the plaque of all the tooth surfaces effectively that is key. (But not brushing so HARD that you cause recession through that)

Your dentist/hygienist would be best placed to give you individual advice on how to achieve/improve things in your case. But I wouldn't really recommend one toothpaste above another - it's the brushing/interdental cleaning that needs to be correct.

    Thank you :)

My new electric tooth brush is helping as it has a light when I brush too hard and that is improving things :)

That is a reaction a few people can get. I mentioned it recently in a thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4728936

Probably is best avoided if you're affected.

I love oral b tooth paste with the only exception being loving interdental by Colgate . I hate all other toothpaste.
