    I agree, a bow saw is dam difficult to use and not that efficient, I have 1 but God knows why.

    As you say B&Q and such like have/had an offer of 2 for a tenner on S&J hand saws recently, I'd go that way otherwise an electric crocodile saw, avoid a chainsaw, (which would be my weapon of choice), unless you have some skill and training.
