PPI reclaim form - Salaries? -Savings?

Hi,
We are reclaiming PPI from a credit card company, and they sent us their standard form to fill in.
It is similar to the Ombudsman form given on the MSE site, but in addition, it asks for the salaries being earned at the time for myself and my partner (my partner was never party to the credit card), and also what savings we both had at the time !
Do they have the right to request this, and is it in our interests to provide it?
Since it is not on the Ombudsman form, it is obviously not essential to a claims process.
Or is there something I do not know?........

If your complaint is about it being unsuitable for you then they have every right to request it.
Since it is not on the Ombudsman form, it is obviously not essential to a claims process.

The FOS form is a basis to start a complaint. It doesnt mean you wont be asked for more information.

If you don't provide it now, they will probably phone you sometime in the future, causing further delay.

If you don't tell them what your salaires were, then you can't say you could have paid it with savings or out of your salary or with another income.

You are not reclaiming, you are complaining that something was missold.
