New boiler, most efficient way to heat hot water cylinder?

That is what I would do. Worth taking a look at your timer. A good one will have a 1 hour hot water boost, which is useful if you all come home after a day of mudwrestling and all need baths,The company that fitted the boiler suggested leaving the hot water on all day but after reading this thread I've decided to set the timer to heat the water for 1hr in the morning and 1hr in the afternoon before we get home.
I've also turned the cylinder thermostat down to 60, as suggested.
Thanks all.You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
boil a kettle for dish washing and sanitization needs, very cheap and quick. :T0

Before I had a combi boiler I used to just heat the water to 60 C for 20 minutes each morning. More than enough for a shower and washing up.0
