None fault claim PENDING!

Options
I've had two none fault claims on my motorcycle, one last year in august and the other in may.

Both occasions a car pulled out on me on my motorcycle, one even turned right into on a no right hand turn junction.

Now here is the interesting bit, even after the other party has admitted liability the claim is still pending.
I already pay £2000 for my current policy as I'm 18 so i dread to think what my next policy will be on a more powerful 600cc with pending claims against my name.

My current insurance company even told me that i won't be getting my no claims due to these pending claims. My no claims bonus will literally reduce my quote by £1000 :(.

Now after calling the guys handling my claim, they have told me that they are seeking 'advice' regarding my claim, they said my claim could take years to solve.

Unfortunately, after 2 similar accidents in a short space of time, they now see you as accident prone, and are loading your policy to reflect their perception of the risk.

Best you can do is get loads of quotes, you may even have to get a smaller 'bike to get insurance to build up some no claims.
I take it you have tried the 3rd party only and RTA* only route.

*Road Traffic Act only, basically pays for the funeral if you kill someone, you are liable for all damage to property.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

Nah, RTA insurance covers damage & injury to third parties & their property (and I think has done for donkeys years.)

OP....as you have discovered, an open claim is assumed to be your fault so no NCB & a fault claim.

Once it is all sorted out you'll get your NCB back and the fault claim will become non fault so make sure your new insurer will adjust your premium once that happens.

More generally, although it might just be "bad luck" having two similar accidents in a short space of time might indicate there is something you can do to improve your visibility and/or road positioning.

Could be worth thinking about some sort of advanced training, which also *might* reduce your insurance costs as well as making you a safer rider

I was directly infront of the driver. I was in his line of vision yet he still pulled out. Note i was going like 20mph.
Both occasion were literally identical, i ride defensive but if a driver is blind and won't look there is nothing you can do tbh.

Establish what the additional cost is and instruct your claim handler to add this cost to the existing claim.

Maybe you are riding *too* defensively or whatever

A poster called lisyloo I think is involved in advanced rider training which is low cost (maybe even free) so might be worth dropping her a PM and see if she can help

I'm not sure you know the definition of riding defensive.
When you ride defensively you don't make assumptions. You don't trust other drivers as to whether or not they have seen you or not.
So if you riding towards a junction and there is a car waiting to pull out to your left, you do a lifesaver to your right and move to the right lane or position your bike as far to the right as possible. You then roll off the throttle and drag the rear brakes.
