Yet another end of tenancy / protected deposit question

Hi all, I will soon be giving notice on my rental property and reading all these forums I have learnt that my deposit should be protected. I had an initial 6 month assured shorthold tenancy agreement starting in Feb 2008, and since that ended have been on a rolling periodic tenancy. I have no dealings with an agent now, I…

Thanks again!

I have emailed him and updated him to the latest developments and hopeful exchange and serving of (30 day) notice on Tuesday.

He replied and was happy with that, so sounds like he will be accepting of that. He also mentioned he cannot find his copy of the inventory, sounds like that might go in our favour! Lol!

He also said he doesn't know the process of claiming the deposit through my deposits but will look into!

We have been here over five years and it was all in less than perfect condition to begin with, hence no rent rises for five years!

The LL has always been very reasonable with us, especially when we have had minor issues, and looks like this will continue as we depart! :T
