Woodland Trust Energy is just a brand licensed by Ovo Energy Ltd who is the supplier of the services

All energy, customer services, etc is supplied by Ovo.

    Same tariffs offered too ;)

I suggest anyone looking for feedback reads the Ovo feedback thread :)

  • I found the changeover easy after a few set backs. I applied on line but for one reason or another it didn't go through so I called and a really lovely young man said he would check and call me back. I was sceptical as to whether he would or not but he did at the time he'd promised and said my online application hadn't gone through but would I like to continue with him on the phone. It was so easy and I got emails telling me when it was going to happen. I haven't had to contact them since I changed so don't know what the customer service is like now that it's got busier but I did hear that they had employed more people to take the calls. I am being charged slightly more than with my old supplier but I hope that will even out a bit as the summer months arrive.
  • So WTE have written to say they're pulling out of the energy market, and suggesting a transfer to an account direct with Ovo. Which is a shame because I thought they were quite good, responsive to the minor quibbles I've been irritating them with, friendly and helpful.

There's some logic to an Ovo transfer, it's the same pricing structure, account credit will be transferred and there should be no issue with porting the Smartmeters to another supplier. There's nothing about the latter in the FAQ on their website.

Has anyone tried moving their Smartmeters?

WTE have never been in the energy market as such. As explained above, this was just a branding exercise-the CS people who may answer the phone as WTE work for OVO.
WTE simply received a small royalty from OVO for the use of their branding.
