Quick question I'm hoping If someone can tell me who either has this http://www.woolworths.co.uk/hotpoint-aq113l297e-1200-spin-11kg-load-washing-machine-titanium/928823531.prd or another machine that takes 11kgs if they can fit a kingsize duvet inside it?
Our washer has gave up and as its only a 5kg one has lasted us 7 years. I don't think it could handle with two loads everyday due to family and accidents.
So we bit the bullet and bought on big enough to hopefully wash our sons duvets in Incase of lil accidents and ours when I want to freshen it up.
Apologise if this is the wrong place to post but as I am money saving/frugal I thought it was the best place to post?
:money:
Ps only ordered it last night should arrive tomorrow.

I have one of these.....http://www.johnlewis.com/samsung-wf1124xac-ecobubble-vrt-washing-machine-12kg-load-a-energy-rating-1400rpm-spin-white/p231477482 (very cheap on Ebay) and it takes two large quilts and two pillows in one go, so I am sure you will have no trouble.0

Thanks so much was worrying that we not be able to get ours in.
As it was last minute and we not have the funds available due o a house renovation I've done a buy now pay later interest free and it was £500 but got £49 off due to a code I found
Just want to make sure as it is still a lot of money to me that i have bought something that fits absolutely all our needs.
Thanks again.Ds2 born 3/4/12 8lbs 8.5:j

Ours is 7 or 8kg and can fit a king size duvet (10 tog) so an 11kg one would certainly be able to xx0

Really domestic washing machines are not designed to wash duvets and you can tend to overload the unit and break them.
Its always recommended to have them washed at a launderette in the larger commercial machines.
A lot of washing machines will not detect if the load is too much fro the drum and bearings and sooner or later they fail and you are needing to buy a new washing machine.Isle of Man mortgage free wannabe !!

You would have a job to go over the weight limit with a quilt because most are very light.0 -
Mine are 12Kg loads and no you can't get a king size (I have 9 and 15tog and neither fit!!) in.. double fits in easy though and washes nicely.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Until they're wet! I've had to wash a quilt in the bath. Trying to lift it once it was wet was hard work.0 -
honeythewitch wrote: »It is probably the size of the drum that is more important than the weight. Poor you! What brand is it?
It makes no difference if the machine is not balanced properly or overstuffed with it will be with a kingsize duvet in it is likely to shred the door seal or rip the spindles which hold the drum.. You can't get enough water in to wash a duvet without the weight being over the limit and if it shuts off at the weight there isn't enough water in to wash it anyway.
It is then classed as malicious/deliberate overloading which caused a breakage which is not covered under warranty.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've always maliciously and deliberately washed our king sized duvet in the washing machine (9kg) with no trouble.0
