We are about to give our house back and the STA states we have to clean the flat but does not mention professional but our inventory states the house was domestically cleaned, do we need to get the flat cleaned professionally still or no.
One more question is it necessary to get the carpet cleaned professionally, can I not rent a carpet cleaning machine and do it myself just to save on some cost. We almost hoover the carpet daily and its absolutely new looking as good as when we came in but the inventory guy might look at it in a different way, even though estate agents came around few weeks back for inspection and said they are very happy with the state in which the flat has been kept.

Suppose you just have to make sure there's nothing the LL can complain about . . .
but this isn't good enough:We almost hoover the carpet daily
I almost washed my car yesterday, but didn't bother . .0 -
You have to clean to it the state that it was in when you got it, allowing for reasonable wear and tear.
May be wise to go a bit beyond that just to make sure there is nothing to complain about.0
