If it is too good to be true........

It usually is in my experience.

However, I am after a new mobile phone and I have seen a few web sites offering 12 month contacts with 100% cashback. Now I can imagine that they work on the basis that they hope you will not remember to apply and so I thought i would turn to the MSE collective for some advice.

Here is the first on I found:

http://www.e2save.com/
but this only offers a few phones. A guy at work did this 12 months ago and successfully claimed back 100% of his line rental.

I then found this one:
http://www.dialtosave.co.uk/
Although they offer the phone I'd like (Nokia 6300) with no knowledge of the company I am a bit nervous of taking the plunge.

All advise greatfully recieved!

Thanks

I know this isn't much of a help BUT........... 2 years ago on QUIDCO (https://www.quidco.com) I got 100% cashback from carphone warehouse (cancelled after the year) and got 100% in cash back after 2 months. I know it isn't from somewhere you originally wanted but I trust quidco 100% and have been a member for 2 and a half years sometimes though some of the sites take a while to track your earnings but the longest I have waited on a payment is 3 months but if you think on it you are getting a great bargain and cashback at the same time. Hope this helps. Also if you are dubious as I was to start of with, look at the faqs on quidco and that should help you. I also must say in order for your purchases in quidco t be tracked you have to allow cookies as I got stung last month when I installed vista, as a default id disabled cookies and my transaction wasn't tracked for a book site.

The boyfriend had a 100% cashback on a 12 month O2 contract from Carphone Warehouse last year. I don't think they do them anymore but I made sure he sent all the bills in in time and got all cash back. This year, after a bit of prompting, they gave him another 12 month contract with better minutes and texts, but only 50% cashback. Still, quite good for a follow-up offer, I think.

    Ok, here goes.........

https://www.e2save.co.uk and https://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk are both part of The Carphone Warehouse. Both very good sites. I have just put my last claim in for a phone from both of therse sites. I even sent in one early claim to the incorrect address and they forwarded the claim and honored it.

Dialtosave is like an agent. They redirect you to the retailer.
With dialtosave you can give them the details of your purchase and they will send you an email reminder of when to claim. The site also has or had an area of complaints where retailers don't pay the cashback.

I have also used the following, again, both are part of the same company:

    https://www.coolnewmobiles.co.uk
Now these claimed that I sent my claim in early. It was the correct airtime bill, I just sent it too early.

As for https://www.phoneboxdirect.co.uk Well, they said that my 6 month bill was not received.

I probably will use phoneboxdirect again as they have a very good selection of phones. But I will send all of the claims by recorded delivery, and if my contract started on say the 17th, I will put my claim in the post on the 17th.

Sorry to go on but I hope this helps.

Please make sure you read all small print on these offers and also a good tip is check how long you have to make your claim

Some companies only allow 14 days from the date on 4th bill (for example)

so if your bill date is the 1st june , you only have to the 14th to get everything to them , now that seems long enough but by the time they produce the bill and send it to you your looking at the 7th/8th the if a weekend falls then you can be looking at not getting your bill until 10/11th which can be tight and if you miss your first claim you forfiet the whole 12 months !!!

    Thanks again to you all!

How many people would be interested in a reminder for cashback contract mobile phones?

I was going to make one with email and SMS reminders but I didn't think many people would be interested and I didn't know whether there was already one that did the job perfectly well.
