help with jsa joint claim

if i make a claim for jsa with my husband added as my partner, will he have to sign on and look for work? We have 3 children and would like him to be the full time carer whilst i go to work. Does the online application for jsa know the difference between a couples claim with no kids where both people have to look for work and when a claim is being made but a partner only added to get the couples rate?
Many thanks for your help:)
