Eurgh!
This is more of a let off steam rant than anything else, as I know what I need to do but it's just a PITA!
My dyslexia report wasn't the right one and my evidence of mental health issues and diagnosis's also aren't acceptable because its from a care co-ordinator not a doctor!
Should both be relatively easy fixes except my care coordinator has left without telling me so I've been without access to any support for over 2 months and I can't see my psych doctor to try and get a letter from him without a care co....
Managed to speak to the uni, and they've said if I send them my dyslexia report (which I haven't had back from DSA yet! Grr) then they can do one once I've started uni but all this mucking about now means I probably/definitely won't have any support in place for starting uni.
hoping the workload won't be too massive to start with and paper notes will do as I don't have a laptop!

One bit of advice: When you do get the correct reports, get several copies done (to send to the people who need them) and keep the originals. It's surprising how often you need things like that. Good luck![0

Have you not got a copy of a letter to your GP from the specialist? This will usually suffice to get the funding body to agree(or not) to pay for your DSA assessment. The DSA assessor will then arrange an interview with you and write a needs assessment for the funding body.
One of mine went through this at this sort of time in the year and everything was done and dusted by the time they went to Uni and the equipment was provided a couple of days before they left.0 -
No I haven't got anything
I'm going to ring the mental health services this week and see what is going on and hopefully get myself allocated a new care co, who can print me stuff out.
I spoke to the uni again today who were brilliant and they are sending me out the forms SFE want and have booked me an appointment in September to go in and refer me to loan a laptop and dictaphone for the first semester or until I get DSA sorted so I don't have to panic about that. Once I've had the dyslexia assessment done they will write to SFE for me as well for top up support.
