Megabus offers???

Dear all,

Had a rough couple of years and need a break between August and September. Being on very tight budget looking for affordable deals to travel outside of London. I heard about £1.00 deals with Megabus and National express. Checked both websites and couldn't find anything or maybe I am doing something wrong.
Seaside break would be ideal, any suggestions?

Many thanks

To get the really cheap fares you have to book as soon as they add the batch of fares to their site. I have got £1 fares from London to Cardiff and Liverpool before (plus a 50p booking fee).
Just randomly checked some dates and there are £1 fares still available copied and pasted below:

For seaside break you could look at Megabus London to Poole by SW trains. Details copied and pasted below of a £1 each way train fare (don't know how many fares there are for £1 left as they obviously only have so many of the cheaper fares, but found this fare for one person when randomly checking):

  • Regarding Megabus, it is what it is and does a great job. Someone the other day who got an amazing deal was complaining cause there was no dvd and films and the seats werent as plush as other coaches. She did say however be careful if you have expensive stuff like laptops, and dont put valuables in bags in holdall.

however they seem a reliable company and apart from that she was ok.
