new bank account needed - experian not updating credit report

    They legally have 28 days to get back to you and they may well have updated since you contacted them with completion certificate it may be worth the free trial to keep an eye on it.

    I've done the free trial before so have to pay to join again, I haev ordered my £2 report again so should be able to know for sure in a week. I will hold fire on applying for a new account until I get the new report. Thanks for you help - I will post back how I get on

    Well advised not to apply for a standard bank account until the IVA is removed. It will get picked up as the banks check all 3 CRAs and the IVA record whether it's there rightly or wrongly will stop the application dead

    That's why I suggested Natwest as they search Equifax for current accounts, not Experian, and OP has confirmed their IVA shows as settled on Equifax.

    But I suppose better to be safe than sorry :o

    Agree not worth risk for the sake of a couple of weeks and once natwest is aware of IVA it's unlikely you'll get a mortgage or other credit with them in future.
