The nearest place to my actual house that is a flood risk is about 8 miles away; we are no where near any rivers/seas/streams etc that could flood and there are no problems with the drains.
So basically, I would wait for the detailed searches to come back for your particular property.
The worrying thing is, that I was emailed the environmental report today to see if I can get n surname, and my solicitor has actually used this website.. Homecheck.co.uk(landmark) to do the search and get the report. I rang enviro agency and they said they don't do any searches anymore its all by independents. On it it shows, a big cross right next to my propert.. Stating clinical waste.and transfer of waste. Not sure if still active But, property is next to a residential home. And a historic one within 0 to 500, property is not on the contaminated land register, though. Pollution in the air and water from these the answer was yes.,in fact a lot was yes. Who usually does these envirment reports? I have now done loads of research myself as taking too long waiting for people to get back to me.. Surveyor never even called back, so I have now uninstructed him as not sure i will be even going ahead with the purchase yet. I have suggested to solictor, that the vendor, may have the original checks from nhbc, and it seems the seller could possibly be the original builder as similar name. But they bought the top floor flats straight off of plan.0
