I want to dry out some lilies I recently got given and have been reading that silica gel is the way to go. Can anyone advise me on how much I need? There's packs of 1.5kg on sale, is this enough?!
Thanks in advance

Depends on the size of the lilies, the size of the container etc. Its been a long time since I did any flowers but I used to use a shoebox for long - stemmed plants and enough silica to cover the flowers well. I would buy two packs of 1.5 kg silica then there would be ample for another box too!!0

hello,
Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately I left it a little late and the lillies are no longer with us! Always next time though
