downgrading lloyds tsb added value account?

just a question for anyone whos ever downgraded back to a standard classic account after having an added value account. i tried to do it online but i couldnt choose any other account other than silver which i have they were all faded out saying "account cannot be upgraded at this time" even my old non fee classic account. so i gave them a ring and eventually they told me i had a "indicator" on my account and id have to go into branch to cancel my silver membership account? he couldnt give me anymore info. has anyone else experienced this? my local branch is only open 9.30 till 4.30 so cant get there for a few days due to work commitments so i just wanted to know are they just being awkward trying to stop me downgrading? or what this "indicator" could mean? thanks to anyone who can shed some light.

    LLoyds do have an internal system of codes, it sounds like you have a CPD on your account. They have different numbers after that, and these dictate what they can do for you.

    CPD= Credit Policy Decline.

    Either that, or they want to do a hard sell on you to try to make you continue paying for an account (says the cynic...)

    A CPD marker should not stop the OP from downgrading though. Sounds like they want to try and sell you something in branch
