I'm thinking of purchasing Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 but it's says pc (e.g. 3PCs, 5PCs etc).
Bit of a odd question, but does this mean it won't work on laptops etc
Any advice appreciated.

You're falling into the common misconception that a laptop is a laptop and a desktop/tower is a PC.
The big stores love to make out there's a difference by referring to desktop based computers as PCs and everything else by their sub-type (Netbook, Tablet, Mac). A PC is simply a Personal Computer. The term encompasses any personal computer be it a desktop, tower, laptop, etc.
I knew a guy who would get wound up about this and it wasn't unusual to hear him rant "All Macs are PCs but not all PCs are Macs". I would occasionally ask him if he preferred Mac or PC, just to annoy him.0 -
Save yourself some money and buy nothing. There's a choice of free ones (which run on Microsoft based laptops or PCs)...
Microsoft Security Essentials
Avast!
Avira
(and others)

I've tried several free ones in the past, all had issues one way or another. Bought KIS around 5 years ago and not a had a hiccup since.0

You can save a few bob on Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 by buying the 2012 version (Amazon have a 3 or 5 user version for around £13 here :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kaspersky-Internet-Security-2012-License/dp/B004YZRFEQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375257222&sr=8-1&keywords=kaspersky+2012 )
Install it then upgrade to the 2013 version by downloading it from Kaspersky's site here :
http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/upgrade - The link is in Step 2
Make sure that you get KIS and not the basic anti virus (KAV)
Excellent product in my view"It's nice to be important but more important to be nice"

Too expensive. A recent thread showed you links to the single PC version for £4 and the 3 PC version for £7 to £8.0 -
