    I spent today.
Had to, I had 5 hours of work but there wasn't any drinks for me to take & all of our bottles have been packed away as we're getting a "new kitchen" fitted.

On a positive note, as you can see by my signature, I've hit my First Direct target, so in a months time I'll be able to actually access that money, plus interest. Woohoo!! :j

HAW that's brilliant - I'm not sure is that because its in First Direct or its First Direct target - or ?? amazing sum, did it take long and is it assigned to something already?

Hmmm, am going to have to give myself a ticking off for trying to fiddle the system. I didn't spend anything yesterday so in theory could try to claim it as a nsd - but the fact is that it was me who forgot to get anything out the freezer for tea, and so texting OH to pick something up on his way home instead of going myself should count as a spend by me!
Must stop trying to cheat my way to paying off debts!

HI Suziebabe, umm is it really cheating ? Don't be too hard on yourself I know we all have our own rules, mine certainly include getting the NPL (non-paying-lodger) to buy supplies, even if it was my fault we ran out. :o

MissE Fab news :j:j but  to them for getting it wrong, how rubbish

Good news for me tonight, as one of my big spends has been excessive phone costs, I've been including any calls that are outside the calls package as a spend, and this month for the first time have got the bill down to £20 :D, I know its too much:o but its better than the £40+ it got to at one point:mad:.
And today was another NSD which means I am now at
    NSD 5

Well done to everyone scoring an NSD :j

Thanks Sazzie - maybe I will claim it then! If it had been left to me we'd have ended up with beans on toast rather than dragging myself out the house!

In bright lights ....NSD #2 for me on Tuesday - and I've just realised that means I've accidentally done 2 in a row !!! (Not that I'm counting them, being a newbie to this!)

    Good Morning lovely NDSers :)

Sazzie - Well done on that phone bill, that is a massive achievement personal to you so don't let anyone knock it - bliddy well done :T

MissE -Good news on those exam results :j We had something similar and DD had to appeal to the Board and she got a re-grade.

Suzie - Not sure I would call it fiddling the system but we all have our own rules. Depends if it all comes out of the same account or not and whether he is NSDing too I suppose :)

I captured NSD #7 yesterday :j and got my 7-in-a-row :j I am pretty chuffed with myself as 5 of those days were true and proper NSDs. The other two were when dd's came out of the bank but otherwise I have not spent one single solitary penny on anything else. I need milk and bread today but they are a necessity so don't count and nothing else so I am hoping today will be number 8 :)

Have a great Friday Eve :T

    Thank you both :D

I opened the regular savings account with FD last year. Maximum I can save in 12 months is £3600, and it'll give me 8% interest (£124!) I decided my own target was to save the maximum every month I was allowed (£300). If I was short a month and only could save £200, then the following month I'd put away £400 (if that makes sense!!)

I didn't (and still don't!) have any particular spend in mind for it. I just wanted to prove to myself I could actually do it! :o It's a great feeling I have to admit! :)

Oh, and an update on DD's exam results....looks like one of the results was wrong. She got the results by text and email and was kind of disappointed with the B she got for one of her subjects. When the certificate came through, none of her course work has been included so looks like there's more marks to come and it'll end up an A.....which means first choice uni :D

:T:T to DDs exam results! A bit  that they got it wrong in the first place though!!!

Spendy day for me today! Pretty much ran outta food last night, so after 1 slice of toasted veda with cheese for breakfast (which would barely fill my big toe!), decided I'd stop at my fav cafe and treated myself to a breakfast soda (bacon, sausages and egg!) :D Also got a 6" subway for my lunch too!! Naughty I know! :naughty::o
On a plus note, I cycled almost 10 miles last night in 45 mins. Plus I've got Zumba tonight - but will have to work extra extra hard!! :p

    Happy Thursday all :D

    EDIT;
    Must. Stop. Spending. :o
