Options
I just treated myself to a Bush 42 Inch 3D HD1080P TV.
It had a hdmi socket and i don't have a blu ray player yet..so I wondered I have a blu ray disc that my mac will play..if i connect the blu ray disc which is in 3d to my powerlink software and play it fullscreen on my mac..then connect a hdmi from mac to tv..will the 3d dvd still work?

Yeah, it will do the trick if your mac can play the blu ray disc.

No such thing as a Mac with a Blu Ray drive, they never supported it and are unlikely to now, so unless you know you added one, your Mac won't be helping you.
Don't buy a Blu-Ray player - a PS3 is so much more versatile and will be kept more up to date for years to come. Find one second hand and buy the official remote to make it more living room friendly. Full 3D support too of course.
